Parent Support

Parent-Support-GroupAT APIS parent involvement is greatly valued. On the Main Boarding Campus parents are regularly invited to share their child’s successes, by attending an assembly, supporting the sports teams, being involved in the PSG Meetings and helping support cultural activities.

Support for the School

On numerous occasions, parents find ways in which they can support the educational program. We welcome parent help in classrooms, the library and one to one support with reading.  Parents are a vital support for the school in the accreditation process and are represented in a number of planning committees at the school. Parent representatives are always invited to meet with Visiting Teams from WASC, IBOPYP and Sor Mor Sor and they have contributed to the Strategic Plan as well as served as members on various committees that support learning.

Parents are vital to the success of special events on the school calendar – most notably our annual International Fair.

Support for each other

In 2006, a Parent Support Group was initiated. This group now meets every quarter and is a forum where the different nationalities in the school are represented. The meetings are organized by administration and focus on  day to day issues and help parents to better understand the academic program at APIS.  All parents are members of the Parent Support Group and are welcome to attend the meetings.

Support for Residential Parents:  For those parents who travel long distances to support their children, we have easy access to Suan Bua Resort and Spa, which adjoins the school.   Special rates are offered for APIS parents staying there when visiting Chiangmai.
