Admissions

APIS is an International School offering Boarding and Day School opportunities for students from all nationalities

We offer an IB education in a beautiful setting within the Samoeng Mountains. Our staff are fully trained and represent a cross selection of cultures.

We welcome students who meet our admission requirements. We have open enrollment during the school year, but reserve the right to place students accordingly, based on several factors: age, time of year, previous school history and English language abilities.

Families are encouraged to make a personal visit.  We are able to provide family tours and set up interviews with administrators and teachers. We recommend that you visit when school is in session, so that you can witness the amazing opportunities available for your child.  Please make an appointment through email or phone with the Admissions office.

Application Process:

Complete the application form, including providing 2 years worth of school records

Make arrangements for on campus admissions testing and interview

Wait for notification of admission decision

The admissions process involves these six steps

Submit a completed application form

1.

The first step in the admissions process is the submission of a completed application form to APIS by the parent(s)/guardian(s).

Interview and Placement testing

2.

Placement testing and/or screening may be arranged depending on submitted documents, grade level and language proficiency.

Application review

3.

Once all records have been collected, the application will be reviewed by the appropriate Principal. Admission may be granted, denied or the School may place the student on a waiting list. In all cases, the parent(s)/guardian(s) will be notified by letter.

School Contract

4.

If admission is granted, parents will be notified in an acceptance letter. The School Contract for the pertinent school year will be enclosed with this letter. This contract must be signed by all respective parent(s)/guardian(s) and returned to the School.

Payment of Entrance and Registration Fees

5.

Payment of the initial Entrance and Registration Fees is due once the School Contract has been finalized and before entrance. Invoices will be addressed to the payer as identified in the School Contract and issued shortly thereafter.

Other information

6.

Before the student begins at APIS, parents will receive further information such as the bus schedules, lunch application form and other relevant information. Depending on grade level and language proficiency additional meetings may also be arranged. All Senior School students will take a math placement test. Boarders will be given information concerning residential life by the Residential Life Coordinator and advisors.
