     APIS, as a community, passionately educates, inspires, nurtures and maximizes each students potential to become a global citizen and a happy life long learner.

     We believe that both our Day and Residential students should be encouraged to strive for excellence and to develop a life-long enthusiasm for learning, and by fostering self-discipline, independence, responsibility, good manners and respect for others, they will be able to adapt to the changing demands of the modern world.

      Through participation in community service projects, our students learn to share their energy and special talents while developing awareness, concern and the ability to work co-operatively.

      The school aims to develop a strong and harmonious home-school partnership.  Parent involvement in the life of the school is actively encouraged.

 2016-2020 School Goals

Goal 1:  To increase the access to technology for students and staff at both MBC and PC

Goal 2: Increase professional development opportunities that will increase their capacity to make informed instructional decisions and increase retention rates

Goal 3: Use data to show that our students are achieving at comparable rates to their peers

Goal 4: Increase clear and concise communication with our community

Goal 5: Successful re-authorization for PYP (spring 2017) and Authorization for MYP (spring 2018)

Expected Student Learning Results

APIS graduates will have the following Expected School Wide Learner Results in that they will be:

Principles of Learning

We believe learning best occurs when:

Philosophy of Assessment

Assessment at APIS is based on standards which are an integral part of teaching and learning. Assessment will be authentic, informative, personalized and collaborative, involving teachers, students and parents. Our assessment practices will reflect the mission of the school in its international context.
