Support for their own children At the Primary Campus, parent involvement is greatly valued. Parent-teacher contact happens every day when children are dropped off in the morning or collected at the end of the school day, as well as on formal occasions such as Parents-Teacher meetings and Student-led Conferences. The parents are regularly invited to share their child’s successes, whether it be to attend an assembly or to support sports teams. Support for the School On numerous occasions, parents find ways in which they can support the educational program. At the Primary Campus, we welcome parent help in the library as well as visitors to classrooms Parents are key to the success of special events on the school calendar-most notably our annual Loy Krathong, and International Day celebrations. Support for each other In 2006, a Parent Support Group was initiated, This group now meets every month and is a forum where the different nationalities in the school are represented. Parents discuss day to day issues and try to make sure that needs and concerns are understood.Frequently, discussion started by the Parent Support Group informs the agenda of the quarterly meeting between parents and the Headmaster. It also helps the school to identify areas in which parents look for greater understanding and information-sharing about school policy and practice.
